Ann & Roger - Historical Society of Washington, DC - Part II

Reception: The Historical Society of Washington D.C.
Catering: Capitol Catering
Lighting: Frost Lighting
Flowers: Greenworks

I'm just now posting part II of Ann & Roger's day because there were just so many fantastic images that I wanted to share. If you missed part I, check it out here. Their reception was held at the Historical Society of Washington, DC. This is without a doubt one of my favorite venues at which I have ever had the pleasure of photographing a wedding. Frost did a fabulous job with the lighting, bringing a whole new dimension of color and energy to the room. I love what special lighting does for reception images! Of course, the sheer happiness that Ann and Roger radiated all night didn't hurt either! Get ready for quite a few images, because this group had A LOT of fun!

The food was absolutely delicious, and beautiful too!

They took a brief break to cut the cake and then it was back to dancing the night away.

I love this. They put on the best show for their guests pretending to walk away and ignore each other during their dance.

Ann tried to keep a straight face at first, but couldn't help breaking into a smile.

Her laughter was totally contagious! I found myself smiling behind the camera all night.

You know it's a party when...

And at last, their exit in the rain. ..

Guest Books!

I've had a bunch of clients asking about custom guest books lately, so I thought it might be helpful to show some images of a sample book that I have in the studio. Each book is custom-designed using your favorite engagement session images throughout the book and on the personalized photo cover. I LOVE the lay-flat pages, which make it super easy for your guests to write on the pages. If you have any questions about guest books, please feel free to send me an email.

Start off with a welcome to your guests, a poem, or your vows...it's up to you!

Hila & Bobby - City Club of Washington, D.C.

Ceremony and reception: City Club of Washington, D.C.
Coordinator: Colby Hamilton
Flowers: Royal Floral Designs

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE black & white images. And Hila and Bobby's gorgeous black & white themed wedding just calls for a lot of striking black & white photographs. So get ready for quite a few! It was easy to see how much thought they must have put into each and every detail of their day. The theme was so elegant! Their friends and families looked on as Hila and Bobby said their vows in the beautiful black & white marbled atrium at the City Club. Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for having me there to cover your day!

Check out that train!

I love how Hila's niece looks up at her while they were getting ready.

Gorgeous!

Bobby giving his best GQ look.

Hila's mom gave her the sweetest little glance as they all walked up the aisle together.

Married!

Hila told me that artistic portraits were really important to her, so we made sure to find some time for them. And I'm so glad we did...these two were so amazing in front of the camera!

As soon as we came back inside from taking portraits, Bobby got a big congratulatory hug!

I'm thinking they must have practiced this first dance...it went off without a hitch!

Hila's mom had a blast up there!

And finally, some details. I couldn't get enough of the black & white!
